At the start of a level, check the special goals shown for that stage. Those goals stay visible on the left side of the screen, so you can keep track of what still needs to be completed while you play.
Make rows of 3 or more identical pieces to work toward the objectives. Completing levels earns stars, and those stars are used to finish fairy-tale tasks and help the characters.

Hoby Tales works best when you match with the goal list in mind. A move is more useful when it helps the current objective, whether the scene is about rescuing a little hob, racing toward the Frog Princess, harvesting crops, or catching fish.
